How to set up a QR hunt in the CMS

Artwork you will require for a QR hunt:

Hero Banner - 1080px wide x 498px high (under 500 KB, JPG or PNG)
arget Image

Artwork size for target image: JPG or PNG, Optimal dimensions 400px wide x 552px high, <500KB

This is the image that will be revealed in the tile in the app once the user scans the qr code. This usually correlates with the image/artwork on the poster.

Unrevealed Image

Artwork size for competition banners: JPG or PNG, Optimal dimensions 400px wide x 552px high, <500KB

This is the image that covers the above target image in that app and will be removed when the customer scans the qr code.
Prize Banner (if offering a prize to complete) - 1048px wide x 484px high (under 500 KB, JPG or PNG)

Setup

In the CMS go to competitions -> add QR code hunt.

How to play:

Enter instructions for your customers, for example:

Follow the clues and find the hidden presents throughout the store and scan the QR code on each as you go. Find all 8 and win a lucky prize!

Start Location:

Enter the location of where the first QR code will be located

Points Awarded:

Enter the points awarded for completion, if you don't wish to offer points leave as '0'

Dates:

Enter the start and end date of the QR Treasure Hunt

Hero Banner:

Upload your artwork - this will appear on the competition tab, and also at the top of the competition when tapped in the app
File type: JPG or PNG
Max File size: 500kb
Optimal Size: 1080px wide x 498px high

Frequency:

Once Ever - customers will only be permitted to complete the hunt once
Unlimited - customers can complete the hunt multiple times. If you have assigned points for completion, they will receive the set amount of points each time the hunt is completed

Without Prize:

If you are planning to reward customers for finding all targets with a prize, leave this box unticked.

If you tick without prize, no prize will be offered for completing the hunt. Instead the customer will see a completion success message.

Targets:

Use this section to enter in the number of targets you would like customers to find.

Name - Enter the name of the target
Hint - Enter a hint to guide the customer to the target's location (for example, You'll find this near the toy section)
Target Image - Upload the image that the customer is looking for (see image below)


Unrevealed Target Image - The image the customer will see in the app before they find the target. This works best as a sequential number sequence, for example with 8 targets, the unrevealed target image would be 1-8 (see screenshot)

Add Target:

Click this to add another target, and complete the steps above for each.

Prize Offered By:

Select the retailer that the prize will be collected from

Inventory:

Enter the number of prizes you have to give away

Prize Hero Banner:

Upload the prize artwork. This will appear in the prize tab once the hunt has been completed. Note, this will not appear if you chose "Without Prize" in the earlier steps. 

Collection Message:

Enter in the instructions to claim the prize. Example, Scan the QR code at [Retailer Name] to collect your prize.

Click SAVE and wait for the success message.

On the competition list, next to the QR Hunt you just saved, click the
QR Codes button.

Download/Save the codes and get your design team to place the QR code on each of the respective target images.
